Duties

  • Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to build case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes favorably
  • Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations, providing informed guidance at every stage of their case
  • Manage caseloads effectively, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and adherence to deadlines
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and clients to achieve case goals

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Texas (State Bar of Texas)
  • Proven experience with motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience with courtroom procedures, including hearings and trials
  • Strong negotiation skills and settlement experience
