A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its team in Northport, NY. Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of litigation matters, focusing on personal injury, insurance, business law, and estate planning.
  • Represent clients in both plaintiff and defense practices.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for hearings and trials.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and negotiations on behalf of clients.
  • Develop and manage cases from inception to resolution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide legal counsel on a variety of legal matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and ensure case progression.
  • If applicable, take advantage of fee-sharing opportunities for work originated by you.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in litigation, particularly in personal injury, insurance, business law, or estate planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be a licensed attorney, with the ability to practice law in New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Valid Bar license to practice law in New York.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, insurance, business, and estate law.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience with case management, litigation procedures, and trial preparation.
