Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in patent litigation, with a focus on district court and ITC proceedings. This position involves a mix of case management, discovery, expert witness coordination, and trial preparation. The candidate should be comfortable handling complex legal issues and working in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

Duties:

• Prepare and manage patent litigation cases from initiation through trial

• Develop case strategies and oversee all aspects of discovery

• Coordinate and work with fact and expert witnesses

• Analyze patent and product issues, including infringement and invalidity

• Conduct depositions and witness examinations

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs related to patent matters

• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom activities

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school

• Admission to or eligibility for admission to the Bar in Washington, DC

• 3-5 years of patent litigation experience, including district courts and/or ITC

• Experience in patent infringement and validity analysis

• Expertise in drafting and preparing motions and briefs for patent cases

• Proven ability to manage discovery aspects of litigation

• Some experience with depositions and witness examinations is preferred

• Experience in working with expert and fact witnesses is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington, DC Bar or eligible for admission
