A law firm in Tampa, FL, seeks a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage a dynamic litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, excellent research skills, and significant experience with discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. This role involves comprehensive case management, from initial filing through trial or resolution, including client interaction and court appearances. Duties:

  • Handle litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution
  • Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Draft and interpret contracts and legal documents
  • Attend court hearings and trials
  • Prepare pleadings and letters
  • Handle discovery requests and take depositions
  • Draft motions, responses, and other filings in state and federal court cases
  • Investigate facts relevant to each case
  • Appear in court and interact with clients
  • Manage discovery matters, including discovery requests, responses, and motions

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in the State of Florida in accordance with the Florida Bar Association
  • Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff litigation experience
  • Specific exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar Association

Skills:

  • Strong research skills
  • Significant experience with written and electronic discovery
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions
  • Proficiency in trial preparation and participation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
