Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Senior Private Equity Associate to join its Private Equity Group across multiple U.S. locations. This position is ideal for attorneys with a strong background in advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments. The role offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant professional growth opportunities. A hybrid work arrangement is available, with in-office expectations in select locations.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise private equity firms and their portfolio companies on various transactions, including:
    • Mergers and acquisitions
    • Leveraged buyouts
    • Equity investments
    • General corporate matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal guidance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and firm policies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage and execute successful deals
  • Foster and maintain client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of private equity experience
  • Experience with AmLaw 100 law firms or SEC-related matters preferred
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and business judgment skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conceptual thinking

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (required)

Skills:

  • Expertise in private equity transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate law
  • Proficiency in managing multiple high-stakes projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong client management, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
