Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Associate with 4–6 years of experience in equity transactions to join its Downtown Los Angeles office. In this role, the associate will handle a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financing, working with a diverse client base that includes developers, investment companies, pension funds, and REITs. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in one or more areas of real estate law, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate
  • Draft and negotiate complex joint venture agreements and financing documents
  • Assist in the negotiation and preparation of loan documents
  • Work on the development of commercial real estate projects
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on real estate investments and transactions
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and other professionals on complex transactions
  • Manage significant individual responsibilities while contributing to team efforts
  • Represent clients in high-profile real estate deals across the United States

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of experience in real estate equity transactions
  • Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financing
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills in real estate transactions
  • Excellent writing, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently and work effectively within a team
  • Major law firm experience preferred
  • High level of academic achievement
  • Admission to the State Bar of California

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactions, including joint ventures and financing
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
