Duties:

• Manage a personal caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys or partners

• Draft motions, pleadings, and responses to discovery

• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal memoranda

• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and pre-trial conferences

• Attend site inspections and consult with expert witnesses

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in mediations and prepare cases for trial

• Handle all phases of litigation, including trial proceedings

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in employment practices liability defense or general insurance defense litigation

• Demonstrated interest and background in employment law

• Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities

• Strong legal writing and analytical skills

• Familiarity with litigation tools such as Westlaw preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Legal research proficiency

• Case management and time management ability

• Attention to detail in legal documentation

• Strong interpersonal and courtroom presence

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
