Litigation Attorney

Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in landlord/tenant law and unlawful detainers, with a strong focus on civil litigation. Location

Duties

• Handle full case files, including litigation from case initiation to trial
• Represent clients in unlawful detainer and eviction defense cases
• Provide legal counsel on housing laws and tenant rights
• Advocate for clients against landlords who fail to meet housing standards
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide the best possible defense for clients
• Maintain accurate and organized records for all cases

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in litigation, specifically in landlord/tenant law and unlawful detainers
• California Bar license (Required)
• Experience managing cases from beginning to trial
• Strong knowledge of housing laws, tenant rights, and eviction regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• California Bar license in good standing
