Civil Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

A full-service law firm in Farmingdale, New York, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join their civil defense litigation team. The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients through negotiation, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court. This position offers an opportunity to build strong client relationships while providing high-quality legal services. A mix of remote work is available.

Duties:

• Manage and handle civil defense litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop agreements, negotiate contracts, and handle claims on behalf of clients.
• Advocate for clients in court, including making court appearances and participating in hearings and trials.
• Prepare and draft legal reports, pleadings, motions, and other relevant legal documents.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent client service and communication throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to support the overall litigation strategy.

Requirements:

• Experience managing litigation cases in civil defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain and build client relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the State of New York (required).
