The position involves hands-on case management, including significant client contact and courtroom involvement.

Duties:

• Represent business clients in a range of litigation matters, including but not limited to complex commercial disputes, fiduciary and trust litigation, real estate conflicts, and class action defense

• Prepare pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda for various stages of litigation

• Manage the discovery process, including drafting, responding to, and objecting to discovery requests

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials

• Coordinate and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

• Handle multiple active matters simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of litigation experience, primarily on the defense side

• Background in business, fiduciary, probate, or real estate litigation preferred

• Active license to practice law in California (required)

• Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment

• Experience in all stages of case management from pre-trial to resolution

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• California Bar admission (no exceptions)

Skills:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication

• Advanced legal research proficiency

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits

• Ability to manage a full caseload in a deadline-driven setting
