A law firm seeks an insurance coverage attorney for its Sacramento, CA, office. This role involves a split focus between insurance coverage opinion work and defense litigation.

Job Overview:

• Split time between insurance coverage opinion work and insurance defense litigation.
• Draft insurance coverage opinions for various liability and property insurers with varying degrees of complexity.
• Ideally have 5+ years of experience handling insurance coverage matters.
• Must be licensed to practice law in California - additional licensure in other States is a plus.

Duties:

• Drafting insurance coverage opinions for various liability and property insurers.
• Conducting legal research related to insurance coverage matters.
• Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on insurance coverage issues.
• Handling insurance defense litigation matters as needed.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and preparation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on insurance coverage matters.
• Current license to practice law in California.
• Additional licensure in other States is a plus.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• Additional certifications or coursework related to insurance law is advantageous.
