Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Financial Services Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience handling commercial, securities, and/or financial services litigation. The role requires significant experience in managing cases, including drafting pleadings, brief writing, motion practice, and discovery. Strong advocacy and communication skills are essential, with a preference for candidates experienced in securities litigation, arbitration, or enforcement matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation of commercial disputes in federal and state courts and/or arbitral forums.
• Draft and file pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Handle motion practice, including preparing and arguing motions.
• Oversee discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Day-to-day management of litigation cases, including coordinating with clients and experts.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and other legal forums.
• Provide strategic advice and legal counsel on complex financial services issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in commercial, securities, and/or financial services litigation.
• Significant experience with drafting pleadings, brief writing, motion practice, and handling discovery.
• Outstanding oral and written advocacy and communication skills.
• Experience with securities litigation, arbitration, and/or enforcement matters is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with securities litigation and enforcement matters is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
