Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. The role focuses on energy transition financing matters, providing opportunities to work on high-profile projects and innovative financing deals in the energy transition and renewable energy space. The position is available across multiple U.S. office locations.

Location

Duties

  • Handle complex transactions related to financing and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in the energy transition sector.
  • Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to project finance and M&A.
  • Provide strategic legal and financial counsel on energy transition projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to execute high-value energy transactions.
  • Lead and support energy transition financing projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Proven experience in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and client management abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office where the candidate is applying.
