Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and related fields
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide expert advice on patent strategy and portfolio development
• Handle patent office actions, appeals, and post-grant matters
• Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring satisfaction and timely responses
• Participate in litigation support and various intellectual property projects as needed
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all legal documentation is up to date

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in patent prosecution
• Experience with drafting patent applications and managing prosecution processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Admitted to practice in California
• Knowledge of additional intellectual property law areas is a plus

Education:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field

Certifications:

• Must be registered with the USPTO
• California State Bar admission required
