Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload related to creditors' rights, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.
  • Manage legal proceedings from start to finish, including discovery, depositions, and hearings.
  • Provide legal support and guidance to clients, ensuring superior client service and effective resolutions.
  • Participate in appellate work and demonstrate knowledge of legal statutes like TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Represent the firm in court appearances and depositions.
  • Assist with developing and expanding the firm’s reputation as a top performer in the legal field.
  • Build relationships with clients and colleagues, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Handle occasional travel related to legal matters and court appearances.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas Bar, or ability to quickly obtain a license in AR federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience preferred, though newly licensed attorneys will be considered.
  • Proficiency in handling a large volume of creditor’s rights cases.
  • Strong experience in discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is preferred.
  • Ability to exhibit leadership, excellent written and verbal communication, and an eagerness to contribute to the firm’s growth.
  • Familiarity with the Arkansas legal system and strong court experience is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality client support, sound judgment, and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar is required.
