The firm seeks an experienced associate with 3-5 years of transactional experience in renewable energy, particularly in the areas of project finance and tax credit transactions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements, reviewing project documents, and working on renewable energy transactions. Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate complex transactional documents, including credit agreements and tax equity agreements.
  • Review project documents and collaborate with subject-matter specialists to ensure comprehensive analysis.
  • Manage and execute transactions, ensuring successful project closings.
  • Provide legal support and advice on renewable energy project finance, including tax credit transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence on a variety of renewable energy matters and projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to manage complex, client-driven legal matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactional law, with a focus on project finance and/or tax credit transactions.
  • Experience with drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex legal agreements.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy projects and industry-specific legal issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be in good standing with WI State Bar.

Certifications:

  • An active member of the Wisconsin State Bar, in good standing.
