Litigation Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and document reviews
• Review and draft construction contracts
• Conduct commercial depositions, and represent clients at court appearances for motions and conferences
• Provide legal counsel and interact with clients and opposing counsel
• Participate in trials (trial experience is a plus)
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and independently when needed
• Maintain a high level of legal research and writing proficiency
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• New York State Bar Admission
• Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong experience in legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Familiarity with construction contract review and drafting
• Experience conducting commercial depositions and attending court hearings
• Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and under supervision
• Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple cases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York State Bar License
