Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join a growing law firm in Los Angeles, CA. Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including filing petitions, negotiating settlements, and advocating in administrative hearings or court.
• Manage all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including gathering evidence, preparing legal documents, submitting reconsiderations, and coordinating with medical professionals.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve fair settlements for clients.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on the claims process, legal rights, and potential outcomes.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including claims, briefs, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation sessions, and court proceedings.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law or a related legal field.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management, with experience using LexisNexis being a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license with the California State Bar.
• Certification in workers' compensation law or related specialties is a plus.
