Duties:

• Represent clients in environmental litigation, including cases related to CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and California-specific ecological statutes.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory defense and administrative enforcement matters.
• Handle transactional counseling related to environmental issues as needed.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies and advocacy approaches.
• Prepare and present oral arguments, legal briefs, and written documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff.
• Stay current with changes in environmental law and regulations.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory defense.
• Proven track record of handling cases involving CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and California environmental laws.
• Experience in transactional counseling is a plus.
• Exceptional oral advocacy, analytical, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence.
• High level of academic achievement.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
