Of Counsel needed for Cleveland office

A law firm in Cleveland is seeking an Of Counsel with extensive litigation experience, preferably in employment law, to defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims. The ideal candidate will also provide advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits concerning employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitration proceedings, including class/collective actions and discrimination cases.
• Offer advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on current court procedures and employment-related agency protocols.
• Provide excellent written and oral communication to clients and colleagues.
• Manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines consistently.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active admission to the Ohio Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Comprehensive understanding of current court procedures and employment-related agency regulations.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for a background in employment law.

• Strong litigation skills with a focus on employment law matters.
