Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Flemington, NJ, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position focuses on consumer defense litigation, providing an opportunity to work on a variety of legal cases, including class actions, in both federal and state courts. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of litigation, develop strategies, and collaborate with senior attorneys and partners, all while directly engaging with clients and opposing counsel.

Duties:

  • Handle consumer law defense cases in both federal and state courts.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, from information gathering and case analysis to discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to create strategic plans.
  • Engage and maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and local counsel.
  • Coordinate case management with insurance risk managers.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record (top 50% of the class, law review, or moot court experience).
  • Previous consumer defense experience is highly desirable.
  • Admission to practice in multiple states and federal courts is an advantage.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to thrive in a paperless work environment.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Strong academic standing (top 50%, law review, or moot court experience).

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in New Jersey.
  • Federal court admissions and multi-state licensure are beneficial.
