A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial experience in employment matters. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of litigation tasks, including managing discovery, conducting witness interviews, and appearing in court for motions and hearings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substantive witness interviews and manage discovery processes.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Regularly appear in court to defend motions and hearings.
  • Manage case files and ensure effective case progression.
  • Draft dispositive motions such as demurrers, anti-SLAPP, motions for judgment, and motions for summary judgment.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in mediation or other dispute resolution processes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in employment litigation, including wage and hour, PAGA, and FLSA matters.
  • Prior experience in public sector employment law is a plus.
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently.
