Job Title: Associate Attorney

Duties:

  • Represent clients in matters such as replevin, collections litigation, and demand letters.
  • Attend court appearances, argue motions, and represent clients in foreclosure, unlawful detainer, and bankruptcy cases.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress and status.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of routine and contested matters.
  • Utilize case management software and client systems for case tracking and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in creditor rights or related fields.
  • Familiarity with California creditor rights laws.
  • Experience with mortgage default, collections legal work, foreclosure mediations, and related litigation.
  • Ability to independently handle all aspects of creditor representation with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A portable book of business is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
  • Admission in other states is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in California.
  • Additional Bar memberships in other states are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Skilled in court appearances and motion arguments.
  • Strong case management abilities, including experience with legal software.
  • Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
