This role involves handling cases in general liability and personal injury defense, with a focus on analyzing medical records, preparing files for settlement and trial, and representing corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to manage a diverse caseload.

Duties

  • Review and analyze medical records, mechanisms of injury, and related medical issues.
  • Identify and work with experts relevant to the case.
  • Conduct comprehensive file reviews, investigations, and communications with corporate clients.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, take depositions, and prepare for trials.
  • Draft reports for carriers/clients, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
  • Prepare cases for settlement or trial and attend court hearings as needed.
  • Travel as required to support case proceedings.
  • Knowledge of public entity law is advantageous.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general liability and personal injury defense.
  • Familiarity with medical records, injury mechanisms, and related assessments.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and motivation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
