Job Overview: A leading law firm in Chicago is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Associate to join its Labor and Employment Class Action group. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex employment-related litigation, including class action lawsuits, with a focus on defending against employment discrimination claims, EEOC/DOL matters, and wage and hour disputes. The ideal candidate will have trial experience and a background in advising employers on employment law compliance and workplace policies.

Location:

Duties:

  • Defend clients in employment-related and class action litigation, including wage and hour claims and employment discrimination cases.
  • Handle EEOC/DOL investigations and litigation.
  • Provide counsel to employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Draft workplace policies and assist clients with a wide range of employment issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop defense strategies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Participate in trial work and litigation preparation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in employment-related litigation or class action lawsuits.
  • Experience in defending against employment discrimination, EEOC/DOL claims, and wage and hour disputes.
  • Strong background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral communication and trial preparation skills.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials are required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar, or eligibility for admission, is required.

Skills:
