A law firm in Naples, FL is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess strong writing skills, experience with medical records review, and demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently. Virtual work experience or schooling is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in Workers' Compensation defense cases.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Review and analyze medical records, deposition transcripts, and other evidence.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar and member in good standing.
  • Ideally, 1+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with virtual work environments preferred.
