Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Creditors Rights Attorney to manage and research collection matters on behalf of clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal knowledge in the representation of unsecured creditors and other financial entities, be skilled in negotiating favorable outcomes, and have courtroom experience in both trials and mediations. The attorney will work closely with clients, opposing parties, and internal teams to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and to deliver high-quality legal representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and research collection matters, including drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and procedures in all legal matters.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in out-of-court transactions and negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, legal documentation, and correspondence.
  • Advocate for clients in civil litigation, particularly in the area of creditors' rights.
  • Stay updated on changes to laws, regulations, and industry practices relevant to creditors' rights.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of legal experience, with preferred experience in the representation of unsecured creditors, financial institutions, equipment sellers/lessors, and/or collection for taxing bodies.
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure and other relevant regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar (required).
  • Additional certifications in legal practice or creditors' rights (preferred).
