A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a senior commercial litigation associate attorney for its office.

Job Overview: The Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters, counsel clients, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs for commercial litigation cases.
  • Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis on issues relevant to cases.
  • Formulate and execute litigation strategies and case management plans.
  • Engage in clear and effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Attend and lead depositions, hearings, and trials as required.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and dedication to clients throughout all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 8+ years of experience practicing commercial litigation with verifiable references.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Admission to the New York Federal Court (EDNY/SDNY).

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess and strategize complex legal issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting, demonstrating leadership as needed.
