Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is looking for an experienced and skilled IP Litigation Associate to join its Patent Prosecution & Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious individual with a proven track record in intellectual property litigation, handling complex cases from start to finish. This role offers a dynamic and challenging opportunity to work with a dedicated team of legal professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee intellectual property litigation cases, from initial filing through resolution
• Draft and file motions, legal briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions and coordinate with expert witnesses to support case strategies
• Handle PTAB and trial proceedings, ensuring all aspects of case preparation are meticulously addressed
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals to ensure the smooth execution of case tasks
• Work closely with clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient case management and resolution

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in IP litigation, including patent litigation
• Proven experience in managing cases independently, with the ability to lead complex matters
• Strong briefing and motions practice, with extensive experience in depositions and expert witness coordination
• Ability to handle PTAB and trial proceedings
• Prior supervisory experience, mentoring junior associates and staff
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure with strong time management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in Massachusetts, or ability to be admitted as soon as possible
• Preference for candidates with an engineering degree and/or USPTO admission

• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail
• High level of organizational skills to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
