Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, managing cases from inception through trial
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and execution
• Provide legal advice to clients, including preparing opinions and updates on litigation matters
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes
• Manage client relationships and ensure effective communication throughout the litigation process

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in commercial and financial services matters
• Strong academic credentials and legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Experience in both state and federal court litigation in New York
• Ability to function independently while working effectively in a team environment
• A strong interest in financial services litigation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar
