General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a skilled General Liability Associate Attorney to manage litigation cases across California, specializing in product liability, transportation, aviation, and premises liability. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload, conduct depositions, prepare for trials, and manage all aspects of discovery and motion practice.

Duties:

• Handle local and national accounts throughout California.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
• Review and analyze discovery requests, draft discovery responses, and pleadings.
• Prepare court filings and serve to opposing counsel, with experience in e-filing procedures.
• Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in product liability, transportation, aviation, or premises liability practice areas.
• Proven experience with motion practice and taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
