Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Towson, MD is seeking a driven and experienced litigation attorney to join its dynamic team. Duties:

• Advocate for clients across all litigation phases—from pre-suit investigation through expert discovery

• Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and judicial proceedings

• Analyze legal documents and craft substantive motions, pleadings, and memoranda

• Conduct detailed legal research and manage document discovery

• Draft and review discovery materials, court filings, case evaluations, and settlement documents

• Summarize depositions, expert reports, and legal proceedings

• Provide strategic counsel and regular status updates to clients throughout the litigation process

• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel when appropriate

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of civil litigation experience

• Active license to practice law in the state of Maryland

• Experience in professional liability, medical malpractice, or employment litigation is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment

• Strong analytical and legal writing skills

• Comfort with both in-person and virtual litigation proceedings

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland Bar (required)

• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (preferred but not required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Experience using LexisNexis or comparable legal research platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational efficiency
