Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience, particularly in the Higher Education sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to specializing in Higher Education law, possess exceptional research, writing, and communication skills, and hold admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including case management, discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients in the Higher Education sector.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of case strategy.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated focus on Higher Education law preferred.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Strong desire to learn and specialize in the Higher Education practice area.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
