Plaintiff Trial Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney to join its team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have significant first-chair trial experience in personal injury cases, including depositions with corporate defendants, liability experts, and medical experts. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex cases with a supportive, collaborative team.

Location:

• Irving, TX

Duties:

• Handle a docket of 30-40 commercial and non-commercial personal injury cases.
• Manage all aspects of case development, including the demand process, negotiations, and litigation.
• Lead first-chair trial responsibilities, including depositions and working with expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with clients, guiding them through each stage of the litigation process.
• Work on high-value, complex personal injury cases, including those with $1M or more in insurance coverage.
• Provide mentorship under management and collaborate with other experienced litigators.

Requirements:

• Active Texas Bar License in good standing.
• Significant first-chair trial experience in plaintiff personal injury cases.
• Experience with depositions, including with corporate defendants and expert witnesses.
• Strong legal research, negotiation, and litigation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Passion for personal injury law and client advocacy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

• Expertise in personal injury law, particularly trial and litigation.
• Strong negotiation, legal research, and case strategy development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume case loads and work effectively under pressure.
