Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in civil and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will be admitted to the Virginia Bar, with admission to the D.C. and Maryland Bars considered a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in all aspects of discovery, including depositions, document production, and interrogatories.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Assist in trial preparation and strategy.
• Communicate with clients and provide regular updates on case progress.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia Bar; admission to the D.C. and Maryland Bars is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in civil and commercial litigation.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal civil procedure rules.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
