Duties

• Support the IP Practice in strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios.
• Draft and prosecute chemical-related patent applications.
• Manage global patent portfolios and prepare freedom-to-operate opinions.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
• Stay updated on IP law developments and industry trends to ensure comprehensive legal support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of focused experience in drafting and prosecuting chemical-related patent applications.
• Familiarity with managing global patent portfolios is preferred.
• A strong understanding of chemistry and related principles is advantageous.
• Excellent academic credentials and a proactive approach to client interactions.
• Good standing with the New Jersey Bar or timely admission is essential.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be a member of the New Jersey Bar or be admitted shortly after hiring.
