Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The position is remote, supporting the Atlanta, Georgia office from Athens. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation with a focus on insurance defense and a dedication to providing exceptional legal services.

Location

Duties

• Assess new case files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations

• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as necessary

• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production

• Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and other discovery events

• Negotiate settlements and secure authority

• Prepare for trial when necessary

• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants

Requirements

• 3-4 years of litigation experience, with prior insurance defense experience preferred

• Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia

• Strong commitment to providing outstanding legal representation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Willingness to learn database management systems

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and good-standing membership in the Georgia Bar
