Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a skilled Senior Discovery Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience to join their team across multiple office locations. The successful candidate will provide counsel and support throughout all phases of discovery, from preservation to production, in addition to pre-litigation information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation. The role involves creating tailored eDiscovery workflows and managing risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility. Strong collaboration with other attorneys, technologists, and clients is essential to the success of this position.

Duties

  • Advise and support case teams and clients on all discovery phases, including preservation, production, and pre-litigation information governance.
  • Assist with deposition/witness preparation and trial preparation when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, technologists, and clients to craft and manage eDiscovery workflows.
  • Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility throughout the discovery process.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables from associated Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all discovery-related tasks.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in eDiscovery.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in managing and advising on complex discovery processes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Relativity Certified Pro or Certified E-Discovery Specialist preferred.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Expertise with Relativity preferred.
  • Strong team management skills and ability to oversee deliverables.
