Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to emerging technologies

• Advise technology clients on patent strategy and IP portfolio development

• Conduct analysis related to patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity

• Engage in patent-related proceedings such as post-grant reviews

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP due diligence and client education

• Contribute to the team’s growth by mentoring junior professionals and participating in internal development efforts

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in patent preparation and prosecution

• Focused expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Wireless systems or communications networks

  • Standards-essential technology

  • Semiconductors, circuits, memory, or storage devices

  • Software or cloud infrastructure

  • Wearable devices or data security solutions

• Familiarity with USPTO procedures and international patent strategy

• Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently or collaboratively

Education

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Admission to at least one U.S. State Bar

• Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
