Attorney needed for Newport Beach office

A law firm in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking an Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, oppositions, handling discovery, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), depositions, and preferably some trial experience. Experience in business litigation is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and oppositions for civil litigation cases.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests.
• Participate in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Handle trial preparation and support trial proceedings as needed.
• Provide legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation practices.
• Trial experience or readiness to participate in trials.
• Experience in business litigation is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
