A law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal representation to clients navigating various immigration matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings.
  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
  • Manage caseload efficiently, including client interaction and collaboration with the Immigration Team.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Arizona.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing Immigration Law.
  • Record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload effectively.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency preferred.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Proficiency in Case Management Software preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Arizona.

  • Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
