Job Overview

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Construction & Real Estate Litigation practice. The position offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation matters across the United States involving high-stakes construction and real estate disputes. This role is ideal for attorneys with a strong litigation background, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently in a team-focused environment.

Location

  • Minneapolis, MN

Duties

  • Manage and litigate complex construction and real estate disputes on a national level

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and briefs for a variety of litigation matters

  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and client interviews

  • Advise clients on risk management and legal strategy throughout the litigation process

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys in all stages of litigation, including trial preparation

  • Engage with clients, experts, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of litigation experience, specifically in construction and/or real estate law

  • Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently and manage a substantial workload

  • Experience working on large, multi-party or multi-jurisdictional litigation is a plus

  • Strong record of producing high-quality legal work under deadlines

  • Proven success in case management and client interaction

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in Indiana or Minnesota, or eligibility for prompt admission

Skills

  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based practice

  • Proficient in handling multiple, simultaneous legal matters
