Associate Attorney needed for Purchase office

Duties:

• Manage individual caseload with partner oversight.
• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums.
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and mediations.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend inspections.
• Consult with expert witnesses as needed.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in general liability or professional liability defense.
• Licensed to practice law in New York; Connecticut Bar admission is a plus.
• Prior experience representing architects and engineers or handling complex construction claims is beneficial.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar License required.
• Additional Connecticut Bar License preferred but not mandatory.
