Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Naples, FL, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Health Law Associate Attorney specializing in Data Privacy and Security. This role is ideal for an individual with approximately 5 years of experience in the field of health law, specifically with a focus on technology, data privacy, and security. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both legal and non-legal teams, offering advice on state and federal privacy laws, data protection, and incident response while collaborating in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties:

• Provide expert counsel on state and federal privacy regulations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Advise on data protection strategies, including management, security, and mapping of data flows.
• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with a focus on privacy and security considerations.
• Support incident response efforts and work with stakeholders to address data breaches and security incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients, offering clear and effective legal advice in the context of health law.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, best practices, and legal requirements in data privacy and health law.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health law with a focus on data privacy, security, and technology.
• Strong experience with state and federal privacy laws and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts with privacy/security considerations.
• Practical knowledge in data protection, management, and security.
• Experience in incident response and crisis management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both legal professionals and non-lawyers.
• Ability to handle complex issues and provide clear, actionable advice to clients and colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admittance to the Bar in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain licensure).
