Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Bellevue, WA is seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support issues. This role requires a deep understanding of family law and excellent communication skills to effectively represent clients and manage cases.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and property division.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs and arguments.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Maintain thorough and accurate case records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar and in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in family law practice, including handling divorce, custody, and support cases.
• Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar.
