A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Team Attorney to join its Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets team. This role involves providing legal support in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). The position is designed for attorneys interested in a non-partnership track role with a lower billable hour requirement. The attorney will work directly with prominent clients, supporting complex financial transactions in the CMBS sector.

Duties

  • Support a key client by abstracting legacy, new issuance, and replacement securitization instruments.
  • Utilize proprietary software to manage documentation related to CMBS transactions.
  • Review pooling and servicing agreements, indentures, inter-creditor agreements, and co-lender agreements for CMBS loans.
  • Collaborate with a team to provide comprehensive legal services in the Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets sector.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on CMBS.
  • Familiarity with CMBS documentation, including pooling and servicing agreements.
  • Experience with loan servicing transactions is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials and a proven track record in the CMBS area.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction of one of the listed office locations, or eligibility for reciprocity/waiver.

Skills

  • Proficiency in handling complex CMBS transactions and documentation.
