A law firm is currently seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney for their Atlanta office with 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience. The Attorney will play a key role in handling insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. The role requires extensive civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice, conducting depositions, and making court appearances (commensurate with experience level). Preferred qualifications include experience with business development, client management, and independent management of cases. The ideal candidate must have excellent academic credentials and demonstrate superior research and writing ability.

 

Duties:

  • Handle insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
  • Manage all facets of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Conduct depositions and make court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
  • Experience with business development and client management.
  • Independently manage cases.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
  • Understanding of insurance coverage issues.
  • Extensive civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with drafting pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Proficiency in discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Deposition experience and court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
  • Preferred experience in business development and client management.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in the state of practice.
