Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Norcross, GA seeks an experienced Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a range of immigration matters, providing essential legal guidance to clients while collaborating with non-legal staff for case management. Duties:

  • Identify potential immigration relief options for clients based on their unique circumstances.

  • Prepare clients for USCIS interviews and attend these meetings as a legal representative.
  • Provide leadership and training to the paralegal team and other support staff.
  • Enforce ethical standards and oversee the professional conduct of non-attorney team members.
  • Respond to legal inquiries from support teams and offer expert guidance.
  • Review, edit, and ensure the accuracy of USCIS applications and supporting documentation.
  • Stay up to date on the latest changes in immigration law, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve legal case processing and workflows.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience practicing law.
  • Proven experience in supervising and training non-legal staff.
  • Experience in family-based and humanitarian immigration law (e.g., VAWA, U-Visa, Asylum, I-130, N-400, I-601) is a plus.
  • Strong advocacy and client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and optimize legal practices.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement.
  • A passion for providing quality service in an immigration law practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
