Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Harker Heights, TX, seeks a dedicated, experienced Criminal Defense Attorney. Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to clients throughout the legal process.
• Develop case strategies and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Negotiate settlements and plea deals with opposing counsel and prosecutors.
• Maintain detailed case files and records, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
• Participate in client meetings, court appearances, and negotiations to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Keep clients informed about case progress and any legal developments.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals and investigators, to build strong case arguments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Preferably with experience in Texas Criminal Law.
• Proven track record of handling criminal defense cases effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:
