A law firm in Jacksonville is seeking a dedicated Pre-Suit Attorney with a focus on Personal Injury. This role involves managing a full caseload from the initial claim stage through settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in personal injury law, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Duties:

  • Gather necessary documents, evidence, and relevant information related to personal injury claims.
  • Negotiate settlement offers with insurance providers.
  • Prepare and review demand letters and assist in settlement negotiations.
  • Manage and negotiate cases with insurance providers effectively.
  • Oversee and manage a full-time legal assistant.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the case process.
  • Open new files, make initial client contact, and ensure ongoing client communication.
  • Investigate each case thoroughly, analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
  • Enter case information into the ATO database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies.
  • Manage clients’ medical care, coordinating with medical providers and scheduling appointments.
  • Explain medical procedures and related documentation to clients.
  • Continuously monitor case status, review medical records, and organize case files.
  • Prepare files for submission to demand writers.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.
  • Active member of the Florida Bar Association in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience managing a heavy personal injury caseload.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact empathetically with clients and handle their needs with sensitivity.
  • Determination and drive to achieve the best results for clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
